As we wrap up another project with our long term partners at MMV, we would like to note that not all heroes wear capes!

Some are scientists, advocates, and health workers on the frontlines of global health. For the past four years, we’ve had the privilege of partnering with Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV) to help bring their stories to the world.
Our collaboration began with a shared vision: to make complex advocacy issues accessible, human, and inspiring. That vision has taken us from Togo to Rwanda, across Kenya and the DRC, to Ethiopia, into India, Peru, PNG and Indonesia, — producing films that spotlight groundbreaking progress, from life-saving treatments in remote communities to campaigns dreaming of a malaria-free world.

Each piece has been a chance to combine powerful storytelling with MMV’s mission – raising awareness, sparking conversations, and reminding the global community of what’s at stake. Our latest unreleased work on Vivax Malaria continues this journey, blending information with impact in a way that resonates with audiences worldwide.
For Scholars, this partnership represents the kind of work we are most proud of – creative production that not only informs but also drives change. Advocacy storytelling has the power to shift perceptions, influence decision-makers, and mobilize communities.

As we reflect on four years of collaboration, we celebrate MMV’s incredible dedication and are honored to play even a small role in amplifying their voice. Here’s to a future where our collective creativity contributes to something bigger: a malaria-free world.
